My HSC Design & Technology Project (The U Chair)
This is the rendered version of my supposed "utility" chair, which is currently sitting in my living room. Well this is interesting in a fact that the chair contains compartments in the armrests, serving as storage space. You can see the two drawers coming out of the left armrest and a small door on the side, which seals a makeshift bookshelf (not visible in the pic). The wooden block on the right armrest is a "multi-purposed” tabletop which can be stored away in the armrest itself. So you can decide whether this is a really interesting picture/work or just downright bizarre but for me, it is my proudest and most creative project of my high schooling period.
An image of the building that inspired me to become an architect
Fallingwater (Edgar J. Kaufmann Sr. Residence) by Frank Llyod Wright
I came across this amazing piece of art when I was in year 9, while googling something for a research assignment. I never thought any building could be constructed successfully on such environment, full of rocks and varying terrain, not to mention a waterfall going underneath it. However, this particular picture showed me that you can transform a house into an incredible work of art and therefore really was the first of many inspirations that guided me into the field of architecture.
